oh great beautiful Patrick, very Nielsenish, and the colours you chose are gorgeous  i imagine as an etching it must have looked great too
and the fact that every tree is so very different from each others make them all look a bit like metaphores of humans to me(probably i'm over-interpreting it though^^;)
oh, and it's too bad that you said you weren't going to upload anything here:cries: somehow i must have missed this declaration of yours:doh: i hope you'll give us a link to where you'll submit your new works:please:

Thanks, it looked a lot more complicated when I was etching it on the plate. But I am really happy with how it came out.

Thanks you Basia, yeah I will admit that this piece is heavily influenced by Nielsen. When I was in London I went to the Victoria and Albert Museum and in the Prints and Drawings room I got to hold a Kay Nielsen, and Edmund Dulac, an Arthur Rackham, and an Aubrey Beardsley. Seeing them up close and being able to look at the lines on the page just inspired me more and more. I felt like I was going to cry holding some of them, but the curator told me that if i damaged any of them they were like $150,000 so i held my tears ;) Oh don't worry. I just wouldn't be uploading the work onto this site anymore because of the submission policy, but I will be loading them onto my Blogspot and putting a link in my journal. I miss you so much. Can you believe I am halfway through at Art Center? I can't.

Thank you, but as Basia said it is very much like the style of Kay Nielsen (one of my heroes). I just tried to make it a little more modern.
