This is the second illustration of the Bright Eyes song "something vague" for my illustration class.
edit: Since I have added the third part to this series I have decided to add the lyrics that corispond to this piece also.
"There's a dream in my brain that just won't go away.
It's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago.
I'm standing on a bridge in the town where I lived as a kid with my mom and my brothers.
And then the bridge disappears and I'm standing on air with nothing holding me.
I hange like a star f**king glowing in the dark for all the starving eyes to see."
This is really well done. The perspective is all right and i love how it is illuminated like the night sky.

it's beautiful! very very very very very very beautiful! and the bridge is currently disappearing in this piece so magical! how i love that song and that wonderfully magical fragment of lyrics ! and he's standing on air if i were Connor Oberst i would write to you a long letter saying thank you for such a beautiful illustration to his song
but why are you so modest ? you know if i personally painted something beautiful like that, i would then write 3 pages description in Artist's comments saying : how long it took me to create such a masterpiece, how i did that effect what words inspired me, oh, hundreds, thousands of words and you just wrote 1 over-modest sentence you're just impossible!
what a beautiful illustration, Patrick
Hey Mastro Patariku, it's always a great pleasure looking at your art pieces.
Your brush strokes let me look reality through a dream .... the strange lighting ... the vanishing parapet... I really like it all!
My compliments for your new masterpiece!

Thank you Sir Sarman,
I am so happy that you feel the dream quality that I tried to put into it. The actual lyric that I was supposed to illustrate for this assignment are: "There's a dream in my brain that just won't go away. It's been stuck there since it came a few nights ago. I'm standing on a bridge in the town where I lived as a kid with my mom and my brothers. And the bridge disappears and I'm standing on air with nothing hold me. And I hang like a star _____ glowing in the dark for all the starving eyes to see. Like the ones we've wished on. . ." I omitted a word because there may be children reading this
As always I am honored for your comment. You have such a good eye for finding beautiful things in the real world I am glad that you have liked what you have found in my dream one.
